Analytical Sensors and Instruments Ltd Appoints Brian Williams CEO and President
Steve Zelenak promoted to vice president of engineering and Frank Zheng to vice president of operations.
SUGAR LAND, Texas, – Feb. 7, 2007 – Analytical Sensors and Instruments Ltd (ASI) , a high technology company focused on commercializing and supplying chemical sensors and related electrochemical products to OEMs , today announced the appointment of Brian Williams as company CEO and president. Prior to his promotion, Williams was ASI's executive vice president and general manager and he succeeds the company general partner, founder and CFO, Peter Cai, who has retired. Cai passed leadership responsibilities to Williams on February 7, 2007 .
Williams appointment as president and chief executive officer is part of ASI's strategy of promoting or hiring aggressive young leadership to take the company to new levels of business.
Brian Williams joined ASI in 2000 as an OEM Account Manager and the n to lead the sales department. In 2004, Williams was promoted to manage the company as the executive vice president and general manager.
He holds a BS in Chemistry and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a MBA from the University of Houston
Also announced today by ASI is the promotion of Steve Zelenak from director of engineering to vice president of engineering and Frank Zheng from director of operations to vice president of operations.
Steve Zelenak joined ASI in 2001 as lead engineer and went on to lead the company's engineering team and the n to lead engineering at ASI and its sister company, Aurora Scientific, based in Shanghai , China .
Zelenak has a bachelors degree in engineering from Colorado State University and a master's degree in engineering from Colorado State University .
Zheng joined ASI in 1995 as a machine shop operator and has been subsequently promoted to assistant manufacturing manager, manufacturing manager and operations director. He holds a bachelors degree from Shanghai University , China .

ASI supplies or serves small and large OEM companies globally with sensors, engineering services, tooling and molding services and the outsourcing for low cost region manufacturing in China . Major products representing the core of ASI's capability are pH, ORP, gas sensing, ion selective and temperature sensors, plastic injection molding and various o the r analytical industry products. Current projects at ASI include low cost chlorine sensor development and o the r confidential OEM projects.
